DoubleRubber

DoubleRubber is a keyboard that encrypts what you type before it ever leaves your phone. Type in any app, tap the lock key, and your words turn into a sealed message that only someone with your key can open.

1. Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose DoubleRubber.
2. Tap DoubleRubber in that list and turn on Allow Full Access (needed so the keyboard can read your own key).
3. In the DoubleRubber app, add a key (a passphrase) — or generate a strong key and share it as a QR code with the other person, in person.
4. In any app, switch to the DoubleRubber keyboard with the globe key, type a message, and tap the lock to encrypt it (or press return to encrypt and send).
5. To read a message you received, tap decrypt on the keyboard, paste it into the app, or use the Share sheet.

• Both people need DoubleRubber and the same key — share it in person first.
• Each decrypted message can be opened only once (burn after reading).
• Decrypted messages don't appear in screenshots, recordings, or screen mirroring.
• Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
