Privacy Policy

Data collection

TheJar does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal data. It contains no advertising, analytics SDK, user account, or remote tracking service.

Files and folder access

TheJar accesses only files and folders that macOS allows the user to open. When the user grants access to a folder, TheJar may store a security-scoped bookmark locally so access can be restored on a later launch.

Local processing

Bookmarks, preferences, thumbnails, tags, and presentation caches remain on the user's Mac. File operations use macOS system frameworks. TheJar does not upload file names, file contents, search queries, metadata, or usage information to the developer.
